Fastfixology.com iPod Diagnostics
How does one go about sending in their iPod for diagnostic testing services?
It's very easy to send in your iPod for diagnostic testing... simply follow the directions below!
A: Create an account on fastfixology.com and order DIAGNOSTIC TESTING at the following site:
http://store.fastfixology.com/ipod-diagnostic-testing/ipod-diagnostic-testing/prod_6.html.
B: Wait for your order to be processed. Once I have processed your order (or you pay via PayPal/Google Checkout) you will receive an order summary from fastfixology.com. In that summary there are shipping instructions included on a link. To view the shipping instructions visit the following site: http://store.fastfixology.com/shipping-info/info_13.html!
C: Once your iPod has been received it will be carefully diagnosed. There are usually an average of 20 iPods that come in per day and iPods that have parts installations are top priority. Diagnostic testing is done on an as time basis. There is only one technician here (myself) and while I pride myself on trying to provide the fastest possible solution to your iPod problem, some iPods do take a large amount of time to diagnose. Please remember each iPod has to be diagnosed, the problem has to be replicated, a fix has to be tested (meaning your iPod will be fixed in order to verify that a solution is possible) and then usually tested over a period of one or two days to verify the fix does in fact cure any iPod ailments. Diagnostic testing takes anywhere from one hour per iPod to as many as three hours per iPod. I will personally email you describing the problems accurately and in terms that are easy to understand. I will send you a quote for the repairs as well as an offer to buy your iPod should you not want to repair the iPod but would like to sell it. If you choose to go ahead with the repairs I will issue an invoice for the iPod repair (minus the amount you have already paid for the diagnostics.) If you do not want to fix your iPod or sell your iPod I will send your iPod back to you.

I've bought a part from you and want you to install it... now what?
It's incredibly easy to send in your iPod and let fastfixology.com do all of the dirty work! Follow the simple directions below and you'll have your iPod back in no time!
A: Purchase a part from my online store and then choose the fastfixology.com installation option!
B: Once you've purchased your iPod part and paid for that part you will receive an email with an order summary that includes a link on where and how to ship your iPod (Shipping instructions are available at the following site: http://store.fastfixology.com/shipping-info/info_13.html.) Please follow these directions very carefully, otherwise your iPod may get damaged or lost during shipping. If you have any further questions email me at service@fastfixology.com and I'll answer your questions quickly! C: When the iPod is delivered the part ordered will be installed into your iPod. Your iPod will also receive a small set of tests to determine if there is anything else wrong with your iPod. You will be contacted via email or by phone. Part installation is top priority so nearly all iPods that come in for part installation are shipped the same day they are received. Fastfixology.com iPod Repair What is the usual wait time for iPod repair? Will my warranty be void if I send my iPod to you for service?
If you have ordered an iPod part and sent in your iPod for "fastfixology.com installation" your iPod will be repaired that very same day (pending any other issues that you may not be aware of.) Parts that have already been ordered and paid for online have top priority and are nearly always shipped the same day I receive the iPod. If I run out of the part you purchased before I'm able to put it out of stock on my online store you will receive an email and are allowed to cancel the order if it is urgent that you receive it within a specific timeframe.
If you send your iPod in to be worked on while under warranty the warranty may or may not be void. If an LCD screen is replaced or some other component in most instances no one will ever know your iPod has been opened, however it is Apple's official policy that once an iPod has been opened by anyone other than an Apple Technician the warranty will be void. If your iPod has a broken screen or any physical damage your warranty is already void due to Apple's warranty policy regarding abuse. I recommend that if your iPod is still under warranty to send it to Apple or go to one of their retail outlets. If you'd still like me to work on your iPod it will be repaired, however the warranty may be void.
Which iPods do you repair?
Currently I repair all iPods EXCEPT iPod shuffles (in most cases the cost to repair is more than purchasing a new one). I can repair the following iPods: 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, 4th Gen (U2), iPod Mini (1st & 2nd Gen), iPod Photo (1st & 2nd Gen), iPod Nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Gen), iPod Video (5th Gen and 5.5 Gen), iPod Classic (6th & 7th Gen), iPod Touch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Gen), & the iPhone (original, 3G, 3GS, 4G) as well as any HP branded iPod. I use genuine Apple OEM parts (parts may be new or used.)
Am I obligated to pay an invoice or quote sent to me?
Absolutely not! Sometimes invoices are sent so that should you choose to repair your iPod you may pay the invoice right away and receive your iPod much faster (you'll still receive a diagnostic report email and may ask any questions you'd like before paying any invoice as well!) If you send your iPod in for diagnostics and receive the quote and feel that it is too expensive, I'll gladly send it back to you at no charge or offer to buy the iPod from you.
What payment options can I use to pay for parts or service?
Fastfixology.com accepts payments via PayPal, Google Checkout, and USPS Money Orders. For more information check fastfixology.com's official payment page here.
Where do you purchase your parts and what is the quality of the parts you provide?
Fastfixology.com currently gets nearly 95% of parts from wholesalers and other online iPod vendors. Since Apple does not sell individual parts to any company, there are no parts purchased from Apple directly. I also buy broken iPods and salvage working parts. All of my parts are thouroughly tested and carry a 1 year warranty. I do not sell used junk or parts that will fail, I simply sell parts that will work for a long time and if they don't, simply let me know and I will take care of the issue for you.
I would like to swap out my black and white iPod screen with a colored one... is that possible?
Unfortunately that is not possible to do. iPods with black and white screens have different components than those of colored screens.
Do you price match competitors sites?
Yes I do! Fortunately since my prices are so much lower than the other iPod repair services, I doubt you'll be able to find a better deal on the web (but I encourage you to try!) Simply email me the link of the competitor's web page with the pricing and service and if it is a reputable site (not eBay or a fly by night site that doesn't have a store interface) I'll beat it! In order to be valid the "entire price" has to be the same (IE shipping/installation costs.)

What courier do you use to ship iPod parts and iPods that have been serviced?
fastfixology.com ships with USPS First Class Mail (2-5 days) or USPS Priority Mail. Every product states at the bottom of the description what service will be used for shipping. Shipping insurance is offered on every product and if you do not choose to purchase it I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged packages. If you need a faster shipping option please email me at service@fastfixology.com and I can offer faster shipping at a great price.
What time and what days of the week do you ship out your products?
If you place an order on or before 4:00 PM CST that order will most likely be shipped that same day (2:30PM CST on Saturday). All other purchases completed after that time will ship the next business day. Shipments are made Monday - Friday regularily with Saturday shipping whenever possible.
Will I receive any tracking information once my part or iPod has been shipped?
When your iPod or iPod part has been shipped you will receive an email with a delivery confirmation number (please note delivery confirmation is just that, delivery confirmation, it is not active tracking like UPS.) International shipments unfortunately will not having tracking numbers available.
Do you ship to PO Boxes & APO Boxes?
Absolutely! I ship to PO/APO boxes!
What happens if my package is lost or damaged in shipment?
It is unlikely that such a scenario will ever happen, however if your package is lost or damaged in shipment you may be covered. If you purchased shipping insurance with your iPod then I will help you with the insurance claim. If you did not purchase shipping insurance then I cannot be held responsible or liable.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes! I ship parts internationally for an additional fee. You must purchase USPS Priority Mail International or USPS Express Mail International along with your part by choosing either one from the "shipping" option near the bottom of the product page. You may send in your iPod from other countries as well but please be aware that you will be liable for any taxes/brokerage fees incurred.
Will import taxes be an issue?
Any and all import taxes incurred by fastfixology.com will be the responsibility of the customer. My advice is to mark your package value under $25.00 when sending me a broken iPod for repair from another Country.
Fastfixology.com Warranty Policy
What is the warranty offered on iPod Parts & Labor?
I offer a 1 year warranty on parts and service. I will honor the warranty if there is a problem with your part or labor within the warranty period. Only the part(s) replaced on the iPod are covered under warranty. Fastfixology.com covers return shipping once it has been determined that the problem is with the part or service and not with other components in your iPod. If you need to send your iPod back please email me at service@fastfixology.com for an RMA number. I will not accept any packages that do not include a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Do you assume ownership of my iPod if I don't contact you after I send my iPod in?
No. After six months if I'm unable to contact you I'll send the iPod back to the address listed (most likely it will be much earlier than six months.)
Fastfixology.com Part Returns
I purchased the wrong part or I no longer need the part I ordered... can I return the part?
If you order a part you may return it. I have to verify that the part works and that zero damage has occured to the part before issuing any form of refund. $6 will be deducted from the total refund for shipping expenses. If you bought a part from fastfixology.com and it does not solve your iPod problem then you must send your iPod to me for diagnostic testing to determine if the part is at fault or your iPod is to blame. Additional fees will be incurred if the problem does not relate to the part you purchased.
